About OpenWrench

Every business depends on physical spaces that work. OpenWrench helps restaurants, retailers, gyms, and other multi-location businesses manage the repairs and maintenance that keep their doors open.

Our software connects operators with service providers and gives facilities teams the visibility they need to coordinate work, control costs, and spend less time chasing updates.

We’re a small, fully remote team building for the people who keep our built environment running. We’re looking for a Founding Account Executive to help more businesses discover what OpenWrench can do.

The Role

You’ll own the sales cycle from discovery through close, helping prospects connect their maintenance challenges to measurable business outcomes. You’ll work with SDRs and marketing to develop qualified opportunities while building pipeline of your own.

This is a hands-on role with room to shape how we sell. You’ll work closely with leadership, product, and customer success to win customers, set clear expectations, and build a repeatable sales process.

What You’ll Do

  • Own new business opportunities from qualification and discovery through demos, proposals, negotiation, and signed agreements
  • Understand how prospects manage maintenance today, uncover their biggest challenges, and establish the business case for change
  • Lead tailored product demos that connect OpenWrench’s capabilities to each customer’s priorities
  • Build relationships with facilities leaders, operations teams, business owners, and executive decision-makers, aligning stakeholders on value and next steps
  • Partner with SDRs on account targeting and outreach, and generate opportunities through your own prospecting and follow-up
  • Manage an organized pipeline, keep CRM records current, and provide accurate forecasts
  • Meet and exceed revenue goals while maintaining a thoughtful, responsive buying experience
  • Work with marketing to refine messaging and share what resonates in customer conversations
  • Coordinate a clear handoff to customer success, documenting customer goals and commitments
  • Bring market feedback to the product team and help improve our sales playbook as we grow

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience, including experience owning and closing deals
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding quota and building pipeline
  • A curious listener who asks thoughtful questions and cares about solving customer problems
  • Comfortable leading discovery, delivering demos, and discussing business value with senior leaders
  • Clear and persuasive in writing and conversation, with strong follow-up and negotiation skills
  • Organized and disciplined about managing opportunities, next steps, and your time
  • Self-motivated, open to feedback, and excited to help build in a fast-moving startup

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling B2B SaaS or vertical software
  • Experience working with facilities, operations, retail, restaurant, fitness, or franchise businesses
  • Experience navigating buying processes with multiple stakeholders
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or Outreach

Why This Role Matters

  • You’ll directly influence revenue growth and help shape our go-to-market approach
  • You’ll work closely with leadership and bring the voice of prospective customers into product decisions
  • You’ll help businesses give their maintenance teams better tools to keep their locations running

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary plus sales incentives
  • Stock options
  • Health and dental benefits
  • Fully remote, flexible work environment
